Jovia is a humble and silent girl her father is a Boda Boda man and her mother is a housewife. Jovia has 6 siblings and all live in their 2 rooms rented house. Her father struggles daily to see that he can put food at their table and also provide for their basic needs, but due to the limited income, they sometimes go to bed hungry. When it comes to accessing education. the father takes his children in shifts to reduce the burden of school fees.
Jovia completed her Primary level in 2021 and she is still at home since her father cannot afford to support her education in secondary and at the same time support her siblings in primary education. This means that Jovia is more likely to stay at home for 1 or 2 years waiting for her father to get school fees yet her friends have already joined secondary education.
When Jovia remains at home sited it exposes her to risks like early marriages which endangers her future and life in general.
