Sponsor Raymond: Keep His Education Alive.

Every child deserves the chance to dream, learn, and grow into a productive member of society. Yet for some children, circumstances beyond their control make education uncertain.

Raymond is one such child. When his parents divorced, he and his siblings were left to fend for themselves.

Life became very difficult for the family. His father lost his job, and his mother is currently unemployed. Raymond, along with his three sisters and one brother, now lives under the care of their paternal grandmother in a humble home, where meeting basic needs is a daily struggle.

Through the support of kind and compassionate donors, Youth With A Vision stepped in to care for Raymond, providing him with stability, guidance, and access to education. With this support, Raymond successfully completed his primary education last year — a milestone that reflects his determination, resilience, and potential.

Now, Raymond faces a critical next step: joining secondary school. Without financial support for school fees, uniforms, books, and basic school supplies, Raymond risks losing his momentum and the chance to continue his education.

Raymond’s Dream:

Raymond aspires to become a teacher, so that he can inspire and educate others in his community. He is passionate about learning and wants to help children achieve their own dreams in the future.

Why Your Support Matters

Education is the foundation of hope, opportunity, and sustainable growth. When you sponsor Raymond, you are not only helping him complete school — you are giving him the tools to transform his life and contribute positively to his community.

Sponsorship Opportunity

For just £35 per month, you can sponsor Raymond and provide:

  • School fees for secondary education

  • Books and stationery

  • Ongoing guidance and mentorship through Youth With A Vision

Your support ensures that Raymond stays in school and continues to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher.

Take Action Today

We invite individuals, families, churches, clubs, and organizations to partner with Youth With A Vision in sponsoring Raymond.

If you are unable to sponsor Raymond directly, you can still make a difference by sharing his story so that others may be inspired to support him.

Thank you for helping a child turn challenges into hope and potential.

Youth With A Vision

Ever since 2020 started, on a daily basis Youth With A Vision receives 4-8 disadvantaged children and youth who are in need of our support to at least access education and start up loans to be self sustainable in life. This is a big number that is beyond our capacity without your help.

Among them, is Nankinga Prossy a single mother with four children Nampijja Jackline (14 years ), Benitah Nakawee (12 years ) , Abdul Kaluuma (7years) and Kimera Abdul (5). It's now 5 years since her husband left home to look for a job, they lost contact with him and now they don’t know what happened to him. Prossy has no job to sustain her children. She moves door to door looking for casual jobs to get money but the money she get is too little to cater for rent, food, medication and at the same time school fees for her children.

Her children walk 10km every day to access an affordable school.

Please join us to help this family out of poverty.

This is how your gift can help

Despite the heavy morning rainfall, on Monday 16 December 2019, over 120 children under the care of Youth With A vision from different parts of the Greater Masaka region gathered at Kayirikiti Foster home and celebrated Christmas. Initially, we had planned to provide food, soda and a gift for 140 children but because of the financial limitations, we managed to provide food for all the 120 children, but a bottle of a soda and a gift for only 80 children. Just 40 of our children missed out on a bottle of soda and a gift to open this Christmas! Leandrew and Juliet the staff of YWAV faced some hard time to explain why not all kids got gifts!

The celebrations involved a lot of fun including face painting, mimes, plays and stories about the birth of Baby Jesus. Ms. Namakula Gladys a Team leader from Ssunga area taught children the meaning of Christmas day and encouraged them to behave well and respect others like baby Jesus did.

We served ripe sweet banana for a dessert and a kids' favorite dish of Banana and rice with meat and Peanut for those who are allergic to meat. After the meals and entertainment, 80 of 120 children received Christmas gifts of a basin to enable children to bath and wash their clothes. Three sponsored children got gifts from their sponsors - two got a mattress and one got a blanket and bedsheets. Everyone enjoyed it, was so happy and excited! We then transported back all the children to their residences.

Thank you so much Helen Elliott,Nantale Kitale, Kitch Richie, Heather Swailes, Andrew Hince, Chay Targett for your kind donations which made it possible for the less privileged children to feel the spirit and the meaning of Christmas like any other kids.
