What is Dine So They Can?
It is Youth With A Vision’s annual fundraiser inviting your friends, supporters and the people in every part of the world you are to volunteer to host the world’s collective life-changing dinner party or any fundraising activity for your friends, mates, and family and ask them to; pay for the services offered, make donations and sponsorships to donate the
proceeds to support our various projects with orphans and vulnerable children and youth in Uganda.
Your Dine So They Can…. event can be big or small and can be breakfast, brunch, lunch, evening drink, dinner, bake sale, top table sale, Ice Cream for the Oldies, car boot sale, cross-dressing, car wash, music concert, charity walk, Quiz hour, babysitting, raffle draw, wine or new dish tasting, dance competition, comedy night, ladies night etc. Depending on the size of your event, the venue can be your house or backyard, school, community or church hall.
This year, the Dine So They Can .. fundraiser will take place on the following dates: 10th-21st October 2023
Friends, supporters, and everyone reading this you are all invited to host a meal or any other event and you help to raise funds to support the orphans and vulnerable children and youth in Uganda.
Benefits of Dine So They Can...Event

As a Dine So They Can…host, you will have a unique opportunity to bring old and new friends and family together to share memories and achievements or taste something new, have fun and at the same time make a difference among struggling children and youth while doing it!

Dine, So They Can… will enable you to engage your participants to draw insights and action plans into the unaddressed needs of the disadvantaged children and youth in your locality and around the world, and experience the impact of what YWAV is doing to support the orphans and vulnerable children and youth in Uganda.

By getting involved with this fundraiser, you will help to transform the many lives that would not otherwise be transformed without your intervention. You will receive regular photos, drawings and cards from the children whose lives have been transformed by your Dine So They Can event. You will also receive regular reports about this fundraiser and Youth With A Vision.

Any Dine So They Can…. volunteer host who raises $500 and more from their event will automatically become our Dine So They Can (DSTC) Ambassadors and will get the opportunity to visit our projects in Masaka – Uganda, and experience first-hand how YWAV is working with local communities, and see how sponsorship and donations made to YWAV really do cause a difference to the lives of some of Uganda’s neediest children and youth. Every little bit counts and any amount of money you are able to fundraise for the work of the orphans and vulnerable children and youth will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged and will help to give the struggling children at Youth With A Vision a bright future. All our vital projects depend on generous donations and fundraisers like this. Please volunteer to host a Dine So They Can…event in your community to support our work with orphans, vulnerable children and youth.

PREVIOUS HOSTS AND EVENTS
I prepared a breakfast and it was a happy occasion with 20 guests and everyone in a good mood. We shared food and laughter. Everyone was very interested to learn of the hard work you and the team are doing. I distributed the leaflets which were very helpful and full of much enlightening knowledge which helped to raise awareness. We had 4 children present who also were very interested especially in the children
We shared a nice breakfast and some of the guests had also brought food with them to share. We had Ugandan coffee which I had saved from when I visited in May. We made a greetings video from The Black Isle with everyone who attended the breakfast! The money raised was £365 plus £4 in craft sales. The raffle was won by Graham who was very pleased with the picture. Everyone who attended sent warm greetings to the Youth With A Vision Team.
