The price and arrangements applicable to the selected package are those stated on the Journey Into Impact 2027 website and booking information.

The remaining balance must be paid by 1 March 2027.

Participants who would prefer to pay by instalments are welcome to contact YWAV to discuss and agree an instalment plan.

Any agreed instalment arrangement should be completed by 1 March 2027, unless otherwise agreed with YWAV.

4. Programme Dates

The main Journey Into Impact 2027 programme runs from Sunday 23 May to Saturday 29 May 2027.

The optional Lake Mburo Wildlife Adventure takes place from 30–31 May 2027 and is separate from the main Journey package.

5. Travel Arrangements

Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their international flights to and from Uganda unless otherwise stated in their selected package.

YWAV will coordinate airport transfer arrangements for participants who provide their flight details in advance.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary passport, visa, travel documents, travel insurance and other requirements applicable to their journey.

6. Community Impact Challenge

The Community Impact Challenge will focus on Ssunga St John's Primary School.

Participants may choose an area they would particularly like to support and help raise funds towards it before the journey.

Suggested contribution amounts shown on the website represent contributions towards the wider cost of the relevant activity and do not necessarily represent the full cost of delivering the activity.

YWAV will coordinate the agreed activities and materials with the school and community.

7. Optional Lake Mburo Wildlife Adventure

The Lake Mburo Wildlife Adventure is an optional extension taking place from 30–31 May 2027.

It is separate from the main Journey Into Impact 2027 package and requires separate booking and payment arrangements.

8. Volunteering

Any volunteering with YWAV after Journey Into Impact 2027 is separate from the main Journey and will be subject to separate arrangements and availability.

9. Dietary, Accessibility and Other Requirements

Participants should provide accurate information about any dietary, accessibility, mobility, medical or other practical requirements that may affect their participation.

YWAV will use the information provided to help prepare for the participant's Journey and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the requirements communicated to us.

10. Travel Insurance

Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate travel insurance covering their trip to Uganda and their planned activities.

Participants are encouraged to ensure that their insurance provides suitable cover for medical expenses, cancellation, travel disruption and other relevant circumstances.

11. Programme Changes

YWAV will make reasonable efforts to deliver the Journey Into Impact 2027 programme as described.

However, particular activities, timings, locations or arrangements may need to change because of circumstances beyond YWAV's reasonable control, including weather, safety considerations, travel disruption, availability or community circumstances.

Where changes are necessary, YWAV will communicate them to participants as soon as reasonably practicable.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any mandatory rights or protections available to participants under applicable law.

12. Photography and Video

During Journey Into Impact 2027, photographs and videos may be taken for YWAV's communication, fundraising and promotional purposes.

Participants will be asked during registration to provide their consent to photography and video use.

13. Cancellation by the Participant

If a participant needs to cancel their booking, they should notify YWAV in writing as soon as possible.

Subject to any mandatory rights the participant may have under applicable law, the following cancellation and refund schedule will apply:

The £70 administration and cancellation fee applies per booking, not per participant.

Any refund will be processed using the appropriate payment method and within a reasonable period.

14. Transfer of a Booking

Participants may request to transfer their booking to another person.

The replacement participant must meet the requirements for the Journey and provide all information required by YWAV.

Participants should notify YWAV as early as possible if they wish to transfer their booking.

Any reasonable costs arising from the transfer or changes to bookings will be communicated to the participant before the transfer is completed.

If YWAV has to cancel Journey Into Impact 2027, or makes a significant change that materially affects a participant's booking, YWAV will notify affected participants as soon as reasonably practicable.

Where YWAV cancels the Journey, participants will receive a full refund of payments made, less any reasonable administration costs that are lawfully permitted to be retained.

Where a significant change occurs, YWAV will discuss the available options with affected participants and provide any refund or other remedy required under applicable law.
