Is it really beyond our power to create a world in which all children have access to education?

Is it really beyond our power to create a world in which all children have access to education? Education is fundamental to development and growth. And if our communities are to achieve developments in Health, research, agriculture innovations, effective public administration, and private sector growth, we need to unleash the potential of the human mind. And there is no better tool for doing so than education. Did you know…..? If all children in low – income backgrounds acquired basic reading and writing skills, we could raise learning standards, lift thousands of people out of poverty, and boost growth, while reducing dependence and global poverty rate. COVID-19 pandemic has affected the already vulnerable girls more than boys. In Uganda alone, over 7,000 girls were abused, and over 5,000 girls got pregnant between March and July 2020. If these girls had access to lockdown education channels – Television, radio, internet, and self-study handout materials, abuses and early pregnancies could have been prevented. In countries like Uganda, when a girl gets early pregnancy, it’s likely to shutter her dream for a brighter future. When more girls and women attain education, and more so, secondary education, it can increase her earnings and helps to prevent thousands of early pregnancies and child deaths. Our communities trail on the good governance by failing to educate girls to the same level as boys. At school, children learn many concepts including environmental sustainability. By educating children about our world encourages them to foster greener technologies, and advocate for changes in consumption and production styles.

We are not happy with what is going on. But we have solutions Less privileged children don’t need sympathy, but just a fair chance in life. We can help construct classrooms and disabled access toilets for the local cost-friendly schools to recover and provide quality education for the less privileged students. Your help will also help provide classes over the television, radio, and handouts for those children who are not yet allowed at school. The children who are struggling with life today will be our leaders tomorrow. And by investing in them today, we invest in the future of our world. Watch this video and support the campaign.
